About
the Author
Curt Thompson is an avid outdoorsman, traveler,
photographer, packer, and self proclaimed River Rat. Curt used his
advanced degrees in recreation and biology to teach school and coach
for a period of 12 years, however his underlying desire for the
great outdoors and specifically Montana Rivers resulted in this
book. The author searched for accurate information on various rivers
prior to his float trips and found that in most cases information
was not available. So after 30 years of floating Montana Rivers
Curt took time out, two and a half years to be exact, to research
and record the data that will greatly aid those who use Montana
Rivers for any purpose.
